Jeremy Knoll, LEED® AP | Historic Green Lead OrganizerKansas City, Missouri: Architect, PGAV Architects
Co-founder of the Historic Green event, Jeremy Knoll is currently a Project Architect with PGAV Architects and an elected member of the Emerging Green Builders (EGB) National Committee. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, he helped to establish the Kansas City EGB committee in late 2005. After starting his company’s recycling program, he took the lead on pursuing the integration of sustainability into PGAV’s projects through creation of the PGAV-Vision team. Jeremy was instrumental in organizing Kansas City’s NaturalTalent 2007 Design Competition, highlighting the work of university students and individuals with less than five years of experience in the building industry. In addition, he participates in the regional initiative, “The Greening of Greensburg, Kansas”.
Charles Allen, III | Holy Cross Neighborhood & Lower Ninth Ward LiaisonNew Orleans, Louisiana: Neighborhood Organizer, Holy Cross, and Assistant Director, External Relations, Tulane/Xavier Center for Bioenvironmental Research
Charles is assistant director for External Relations at the Tulane/Xavier Center for Bioenvironmental Research (CBR), where he directs the Sustainable Urban Ecosystem Initiative (UrbanEco) to study the dynamic interface between the built and natural environments. Through this initiative, CBR is working to help the Holy Cross/Lower 9th Ward community of New Orleans chart a path toward an energy efficient, sustainable post-Hurricane Katrina recovery. He serves as president of the Holy Cross Neighborhood Association (HCNA), represents the neighborhood as a member of the New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission, and is co-chair of the REACH-NOLA partnership, which works to improve access to quality health care for New Orleans residents. In addition, Charles is on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Victor became involved with Historic Green after attending Greenbuild in Chicago this past November and meeting members of the core team. He has sought a more active way to become involved with Katrina relief since first hearing personal accounts of post-Katrina New Orleans from his childhood friend John Moore, a fellow steering committee member, and his brother Robert. Victor currently works for an international merchant banking firm, which focuses on real estate private equity and development transactions, real estate securities and real estate securitization. Previously, he worked in structured finance for a wall street investment bank and studied Economics at Harvard College, with coursework in Real Estate Finance and Development at the Graduate School of Design. A proud native of Brooklyn, Victor is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Young Leadership Group, ICSC Next Gen and the USGBC Emerging Green Builders.
Pam Dashiell | Holy Cross Neighborhood & Lower Ninth Ward LiaisonNew Orleans, Louisiana: Director, Lower Ninth Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development
Pam Dashiell is a long-time civic and environmental activist in New Orleans' Holy Cross and Lower Ninth Ward neighborhoods. She is past president and current chairperson of Holy Cross Neighborhood Association and serves on the boards of Smartgrowth Louisiana and the Alliance for Affordable Energy. Pam is an advisor for the Gulf Coast Fund and is employed by the Louisiana Bucket Brigade. Pam recently was awarded the Damu Smith Prize for her work in environmental justice.
William A. Dupont, AIA | Preservation ConsultingSan Antonio, Texas: San Antonio Conservation Society Endowed Professor, College of Architecture, The University of Texas at San Antonio
Bill Dupont teaches advanced design studio and graduate seminars concerning historic preservation and is responsible for leadership and coordination of the historic preservation component of the architecture program. Previously, he served for 11 years as the architect for the National Trust Historic Sites and still consults to the National Trust on projects concerning master planning and conservation treatment philosophy. In addition, Professor Dupont leads a U.S. technical team on behalf of the National Trust and the Finca Vigia Foundation supporting preservation efforts at Museo Hemingway, Ernest Hemingway’s home in Cuba.
Ryan Evans, LEED® AP | Green Spaces, Sustainability ConsultingKansas City, Missouri: Sustainability Consultant and Mechanical Engineer, Henderson Engineers
Co-founder of the Historic Green event, Ryan is currently the 2008 Chair of the Emerging Green Builders National Committee. He is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and recently served as the Kansas City chapter’s Outreach & Advocacy Committee Chair for three years. He is also the current Chair of the Buildings and Infrastructure Committee of the Kansas City Mayor’s Climate Protection Planning Initiative. Ryan has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Business from Kansas State University. In addition to volunteering with his wife Summer, he serves as vice-president and president-elect of a non-profit Christian-based organization dedicated to helping widows and orphans in the extremely impoverished villages of Malawi, Africa. He has lectured on sustainability and green design at multiple conferences, schools and other institutions.
Heather Stafford Gay, LEED® AP | Music/Lectures/Girl FridayMinneapolis, Minnesota: Project Manager, Kandiyohi Development Partners
Heather is project manager for a renewable energy project in Minnesota, and manages the LEED consulting side of business at her office. Heather spent four months in Louisiana post-Katrina/Rita in Baton Rouge. She is the outgoing co-chair of the Mississippi Headwaters Chapter’s Emerging Green Builders, and was recently elected to the local USGBC chapter’s Board of Directors. She has been on the USGBC’s National Educational Steering Committee since 2007.

Co-founder of the Historic Green event, Dave is a freelance writer and the author of the award-winning The Ecological Engineer. He has contributed numerous articles on sustainable design and construction to national publications and Web sites, including AIA COTEnotes, and is currently at work on two new books about green architecture. He has been working with the Holy Cross Neighborhood since April 2006 and lectured extensively about sustainability in New Orleans across the U.S. In addition, he writes the blogs “Help Holy Cross” and “Green ArchiTEXT”.
John Moore | Green Historic Homes InitiativeNew Orleans, Louisiana: Program Associate, Global Green New Orleans Resource Center
At Global Green, John’s emphasis is on increasing local builders’ awareness of affordable green building options as part of the rebuilding effort in New Orleans. Previously, he earned a bachelors degree at Morehouse College in Atlanta, followed by an internship with Southface Energy Institute. John has been a practicing artist for 10 years and has training in AuotCAD. He also received training in Home Energy Rating and energy efficient home building while at Southface. John has also worked for a construction company in Atlanta and is pursuing a degree in architecture. He joins the Global Green team, following Hurricane Katrina, with the desire to help in the rebuilding of his hometown.

Co-founder of the Historic Green event, Curt is an indoor environmental engineer and building energy analyst in Kansas City. A graduate of the University of Kansas, he is the 2008 Emerging Green Builders Committee Chair of the Kansas City Chapter of the United States Green Building Council. Curt is also involved with the regional initiative “The Greening of Greensburg, Kansas”.
Susannah Tuttle | Volunteer Program CoordinatorChapel Hill, North Carolina: Sustainability Program Consultant, Trace Collaborative
Susannah is co-founder and partner in Trace Collaborative, LLC a company focused on sustainability within the design and construction industry. She received a MDIV degree from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. Her studies centered on three different interrelated levels of human existence: the Educational/Philosophical, Institutional/Physical-Structural, and Communal/Bioregional. In 2004 Tuttle was hired as UNC Chapel Hill's first Sustainability Research Associate and she currently serves as Co-Chair of the Emerging Green Builders (EGB) Committee of the U.S. Green Building Council NC Triangle Chapter.
